Everything I Feel

I recorded this one a few weeks back. It's a possible keeper for upcoming projects. You be the judge. Basically, I've always wanted to try to say everything on my mind at once all on the same track. It's impossible to say EVERYTHING I FEEL, but it certainly was an interesting attempt.

Enjoy

This really hit me when I read this. I won't lie. I don't know a hell of a lot of music theory and the mechanics behind it. I've learned strictly from experience. I learned how a good song should be written simply by writing my own songs and seeing what ppl feel and what they don't feel. I learned about instrumentation from performing live with bands. I got a nack of how passion in one's voice could change someone's entire perspective on a song. I learned about pitch, compression and things of that nature from constantly being in the studio.
But just from these experiences, I've grown to appreciate music differently to the average person. I for one am glad I listen to music from the point of view of a musician. But there are still some things i will never be able to enjoy about music because of my knowledge in the art. Some would call it a double edged sword.
Anyway, enough babbling from me. Go ahead and read the article and feel free to leave your comments

Every Girl - Young Money

I been anticipating this video for quite some time now. I'm a huge fan of the song. Not sure if the video did the song much justice tho. Just my opinion. Anyway enjoy!

New Mixtape Outlet

It's needless to say that I hustle hard, and people that work hard see results. Hence the reason you have no choice but to know about me lol.
We got the Caribbean Carter mixtape available at this sick urban clothing store on Spring Garden. More specificaly, it's on 1442 Desden Row, on the corner of Spring Garden.
They specialize in LRG Clothing but also carry a variety of exclusive urban brands like Ed Hardy, Crooks & Castle and a personal favorite of mine, Creative Recreation kicks. Anyone reading this post from this city should definately check it out. And now, you could get fresh and pick up the best project of 2008/2009 to date, Caribbean Carter the Mixtape.
It Doesn't get any better than that!!

More info on other outlets to come soon...

Canada's Finest Vol. 2

So this kid put together a pretty good compilation of Canadian hip hop and somehow tossed me on it as a Canadian artist. Who woulda thought lol. I would've never known if he didn't tag me in the screen shot on facebook. It's for promo use only tho so it's cool. Anyway I gave it a listen and it's pretty good, so I figured I'd share it with you.

Who Would Win?

I remember when I was a kid, we used to have these huge arguments about which marvel superhero would beat the other in a fight. Me being a big kid at heart, I stumbled on one of these old animated movies where two of the characters from separate shows actually had a fight. It's not as interesting as I thought it would've been, but it still kept me entertained.
Hope you guys enjoy

Shayne Ross At Mainstage Jazz

Yea ppl,

Just showing some love to my brother from another mother, House of Wax kin, Mr Maybe Winehouse lol, the one, the only Shayne Ross. Shayne is gonna be performing on Mainstage Jazz for the St. Lucia Jazz Festival. For those not familiar with the jazz festival, it is one of the island's landmark events on the calendar which featured world renowned performers every year. The willingness of government to put local artists on the bill has been quickly declining over the years. I was fortunate enough to perform for the festival from 2004 - 2007, and once on mainstage with Sisterhood, but besides that we have been on the losing end of that battle.Shayne being able to do that means that there is still hope. I could guarantee that Mr. Shayne Ross will put together a legendary performance. I won't be able to make it because of all the things we have tentative over here, but everyone else should check it out. Young, old, black, white, male, female (preferably female) - this is will be a timeless moment.

You could chec out his music on shayneross.net

He just released a soulful balad 'I'm in love with you' and is gonna be hitting you with another hit (one of my personal favorites in his body of work) entitled 'Tell Me Why'
